  • Kneading Dough: Properly kneading dough is vital for breads and pastries, as it develops gluten and affects the final structure.

  • Timing and Temperature Control: Perfecting your timing and temperature control ensures that your baked goods are cooked evenly and to perfection.

  • Troubleshooting Baking Issues: Learning to troubleshoot common baking issues, such as a cake sinking in the middle or cookies spreading too much, empowers you to adjust and improve your baking endeavors.

Why this camp is extra special:

We will develop a miniature model of our own bakery, with guidance from a graphic design specialist who will teach us about branding and design. Additionally, we will take a tour of a local bakery in Pittsboro for an insightful behind-the-scenes learning experience
