On November 3rd Chatham SD has a scheduled teacher work day and we are so privileged to have a local children’s author visit us and not only read her book to us, but also teach us how to weave.
Author Robin Hall will be reading us her book “The Littlest Weaver” and each student will go home with a signed copy of the book. ($20 value)
In addition to learning to weave, & meeting the author, we will also make a couple of recipes that require weaving and braiding with our ingredients in the kitchen.
Each Jr. Chef should bring a water bottle with their name clearly marked on it. A clean, empty take home container and a snack for the day. (Our homemade dough will take a little while to rise, so we may get hungry before it is ready to eat)
This event has more limited space than our usual teacher work day activities, so be sure to register early to reserve your spot!
Additional copies of the book (author signed) are available below as is extended care.
Beyond extended care, you can add on a one day joining fee for our regularly scheduled cooking class that runs from 4-5pm.
