Bake give away for charity
Ages : 7-15 years old
If your Jr chef is 6 yrs old they must have been in at least one month of our weekly classes in the last 6 months to qualify for this class.
In our kitchen, we emphasize teamwork and social responsibility by creating opportunities for kids to collaborate and contribute to the community through cooking. By involving children in preparing foods for community events and charitable fundraisers, we instill the values of cooperation and empathy, teaching them the importance of using their skills to help others. This initiative not only fosters a sense of camaraderie among young chefs but also aligns with the fundamental ethos of the culinary world—using creativity and passion to make a positive impact. As they chop, stir, and bake together, children learn the importance of working as a team toward a common goal, while experiencing the joy of giving back. This hands-on experience nurtures their culinary talents and encourages them to become socially responsible individuals, echoing the heart of chefs everywhere who strive to make a difference through their craft.
This month we will be partnering with "COOKIES FOR KIDS' CANCER"
https://cookiesforkidscancer.org/?srsltid=AfmBOooEESDLibW7mzX37F00AIXPCm3VtvFfzCBajauKgQQCYNkTRg7P
Every student involved in these multi-age sessions will be baking cookies to gift to a family member, friend, or neighbor. Each cookie plate will be accompanied by a card that explains how this
cookie-making initiative supports the charitable fundraiser
“Cookies for Kids’ Cancer,” which focuses on advancing research in pediatric cancer treatment. The cards will feature a QR code for donations, and each student will be encouraged to deliver a minimum of four treat plates. If your student cannot attend the baking day but you would like to contribute, feel free to use the QR code or donate ingredients for our cookie baking activities directly to Chef Arlena

With the cost of groceries ever on the rise, I am trying to keep the cost of camp low. One way of doing this is asking the students to each bring their own take home container each day. This helps us put any of our take home food safely in the refrigerator until it is time to go home.
