Preschool cooking class
Our Fun preschool cooking class always starts with a story book that involves some element of food.
We wash our hands and share our tools and take turns.
Something yummy is always made and a sticker is given to each student who has tasted a bite!
This class is amazing for developing hand strength, listening skills, sharing, growing and understand how food is prepared as well as a willingness to try new things.
Hands on learning with all five senses has been proven over and over again to be the best and most in depth learning.
This is not a "Parent & Me" class. Parents are welcome to wait in the lobby, or return at the end of class.
The mini chefs are always excited to share what they have made and it is amazing to many parents of picky eaters how well they grow and change to accept new types of foods.
This class does require a new student apron. Please see additional "shop" button for the apron uniform for preschool students.
Leave your child's name and age as well as any food allergies/ issues in the "Note" box at check out. Also visit the "Parent Info" page on this website to read the information that will best help you and your mini chef be prepared for class. At the very bottom of the page there is a down load for the required waiver forms.

Advanced Class - "Black Apron Club"- BY INVITATION ONLY
The Black Apron Club is an exclusive program designed for students who have attended at least one month of regular CCI classes. Under the guidance of Chef Arlena, this course selects students who demonstrate a strong understanding of cooking vocabulary, possess advanced skills beyond their age group, and are ready to tackle more precise, efficient, and complex kitchen techniques.
Unlike regular classes, the Black Apron Club is held at a different location and has limited enrollment. Each session lasts 90 minutes and can require a 8 week commitment as well as students need to purchase a black apron and a new notebook.
Invitations to join this advanced class are extended by Chef Arlena based on individual assessments, and spots are only made available upon acceptance of these invitations. As such, the class will always appear to have no availability.
Interested students or parents should contact Chef Arlena directly for further inquiries or information.
